The NELACEP project funded by the World Bank includes : (i) the construction of two 66 kV transformer bays at the North Niamey substation and the extension of MV switchboards in eight other source substations; (ii) the extension and reinforcement of the MV and LV electricity distribution networks in peri-urban areas in the cities of Niamey, Dosso, Tillabéry, Maradi, Tahoua, Agadez and Zinder; and (iii) the development of access to electricity in rural areas.
